The Nour Festival of Arts is an annual event held to celebrate the very best in contemporary Middle Eastern and North African art and culture. The festival springs to life each October and November in venues across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Nour presents events related to the fine arts, film, literature, music and performance. The exhibition Equinox, From Beirut to London, on display from October 4, 2013 till November 29, 2013 in The Mosaic Rooms[1], is a part of this year’s Nour Festival. It is the first solo show in the UK by Syrian Kurdish artist Lawand. On display are recent paintings and drawings by the artist made during a prolonged stay in Beirut, Lebanon. The exhibition is a must see, but here are some photos in case that you do not have time to visit it.
