Continuing our coverage of the 56th Venice Biennale we are featuring a piece from the British Council where we see art historian and writer Tim Marlow have a closer look at the British art on display within the main venues of the Biennale and the collateral events. During the film we see an installation of objects from the United Kingdom’s representative Sarah Lucas, I SCREAM DADDIO, in the British Pavillion curated by Richard Riley, Exquisite Cacophany by Sonia Boyce as part of All the World’s Futures curated by Okwui Enwezor at Padiglione Centrale, Giardini di Castello and a new installation from Jeremy Deller who was the British representative in the 55th Venice Biennale two years prior. Collateral events from the artists representing Scotland and Wales also feature with … the rest is smoke by Welsh artist Helen Sear and Graham Fagen’s commissioned work for Scotland + Venice 2015.
